6.7L Powerstrokeエンジンを搭載した2017年以降のフォード・スーパーデューティは、現在路上を走る最も高性能で信頼性の高いトラックの一つです。しかし、6.7L Powerstrokeの空冷式インタークーラー内部で漏れが発生するという情報を耳にしたMishimotoは、このエンジンをさらに向上させるべく開発に着手しました。Mishimotoの6.7L Powerstroke用インタークーラーは、純正のスタンプ加工および積層プレート構造を廃止することで、6.7Lエンジンの信頼性をさらに高めました。その代わりに、当社のインタークーラーには鋳造アルミニウム製のエンドタンクを採用し、堅牢なバー＆プレートコアに精密なTIG溶接を施しています。鋳造エンドタンクは故障の可能性を減らし、切削・溶接されたタンクよりも高い信頼性を実現します。さらに、マンドレル曲げ加工されたコールドサイドパイプとDuracore™技術を用いたシリコンカプラーを採用することで、耐久性を向上させています。
