Sinds 1988 is het merk BBK Performance synoniem voor bolt-on performance voor moderne muscle cars en trucks. Sterker nog, het waren onze oprichters Brian & Ken Murphy die de eerste aftermarket luchtinlaatsystemen en performance gasklephuizen ontwierpen en ontwikkelden voor de toen gloednieuwe modellen met brandstofinjectie: de 5.0L Mustang en de TPI Camaro. Destijds wist niemand wat een luchtinlaat of gasklephuis was, omdat mensen net kennismaakten met deze moderne pony cars met brandstofinjectie die Detroit begon te produceren. Snel vooruit naar vandaag: veel liefhebbers zijn opgegroeid met computergestuurde brandstofinjectie, met een vocabulaire vol upgrades zoals gasklephuis, luchtinlaat en luchtmassameter, en hebben nog nooit in een voertuig met een carburateur gereden. Het is deze vroege ervaring en jaren van onderzoek en ontwikkeling, samen met miljoenen toegewijde liefhebbers, waardoor het merk BBK is uitgegroeid tot de grootste bron van moderne performance-producten voor de auto's en trucks van vandaag. Beginnend vanuit een pand van 1200 ft in Zuid-Californië, zijn onze BBK-faciliteiten net zo snel gegroeid als onze productlijnen, met bijna 200.000 ft aan ultramoderne ontwerp-, productie- en distributiefaciliteiten in Californië en Florida. Onze R&D-centra beschikken over in totaal drie dyno-cellen en een team van hooggeschoolde vakmensen die zelf ook liefhebbers zijn en er echt van genieten om de beste performance-producten op de markt te brengen. Onze productielocatie omvat een topklasse CNC-machineafdeling en een state-of-the-art uitlaatdivisie, waarbij vakkundig handwerk wordt gecombineerd met CNC-buigtechniek en robotlassen voor maximale kwaliteit in elk BBK-product. Ons motto is "American Designed & Built" en het is iets waar het hele BBK-team trots op is en nooit zal veranderen.
